The Specialty Equipment Market Association show opens November third in Las Vegas. Twelve days from right now. And I know what you're thinking -- SEMA is the big fancy trade show for lifted trucks and loud builds, it's got nothing to do with a guy changing oil in driveways. Here's the thing. I treat that show floor like a futures market. Every dollar those exhibitors spend on a booth is a bet on where the industry thinks YOUR customers are going next year. And this year's bets are loud and clear.

Live DJ, influencers, the whole party. But that's the marketing. Here's what actually matters: across their two booths they're rolling out a mountain of new shop equipment. The MaxJax MAX seven two-post lift gets a new automatic swing arm restraint system and three more inches of lifting height. There's a portable mounting base so you can set up a two-post lift just about anywhere without permanent anchors. They're previewing the Mobi-EVS twenty-six hundred -- an EV battery pa...
Jeff Kritzer, BendPak's president, said in the announcement, and I'm paraphrasing here, SEMA is about spotlighting the coolest builds, but it's also about equipping the shops that bring them to life. Think about that. The biggest lift company on the planet is debuting an eight-arm lift and EV battery tables at the same time as a supercharged C ten. They are equipping shops for two futures at once: the lifted, loud, modified truck -- and the electric vehicle that needs its battery dropped out from underneath.
