Look… I saw something last week that made me sit up straight. A private equity firm out of Charlotte, North Carolina — car wash money — just launched an express oil change brand. Not bought one. Launched one. From scratch. The announcement ran on GlobeNewswire September twenty-ninth, and here's the thing… when car wash guys start building oil change shops, that's not a coincidence. That's a signal.
The firm is called Q C Capital. QC Capital Group. They run a car wash chain called AquaShine Express — eleven locations, a twelfth opening before the end of the year down in Winter Haven, Florida. And now they've launched Cruz Express Oil. The first two stores are already open, in Duluth and Alpharetta, Georgia, and the website's supposed to go live mid to late October.
And the founder, Chris Salerno, he said something I keep turning over in my head. He said, car care is a need, not a want. That's the whole pitch. Boom. One sentence. A need, not a want.
